Broken Utterances: A Selected Anthology of Nineteenth Century Black Women, edited and illustrated by Michelle Diane Wright, is scheduled for release in Winter 2007. The book will focus on such notables as Sojourner Truth, Ida Wells-Barnett, and Harriet Tubman, but will also introduce new important names such as Jarena Lee, Mary Ann Shadd Cary and Fanny Coppin. The book contextualizes the contributions of these phenomenal women and weaves a lush tapestry with their individual accomplishments.

The mission of Three Sistahs Press is to ensure that the original voices of Black women continue to resonate in the world. We achieve this by publishing both contemporary and historical works. It is our primary objective to move Black women from the margins of our society to the center.
We publish books and other media written by women of African descent which we believe adds value to our development. We publish work written by both established and new authors, as well as reintroduce out-of-print works. We focus on producing books and materials that are innovative in design and concept and will at times combine mediums in presenting a singular work.
At Three Sistahs Press we love every book we publish. TSP is not another press that merely adds melanin or progesterone and rewrites the same books. As three of the many sistahs worldwide we continue the work of our mothers — we do the work that needs to be done.
